when i put in a number for bittornado to limit upload speed...it does nothing...it ignores that number and continues to upload at 50+ KBps..i'm sure this is slowing down my downloads...and it sure as heck lags me out when i try dl'ing and playing cs at smae time...though the lag is interesting and somethings funny i'd rather not have to deal with it...any ideas?

you need to scroll the number
if you have it set to unlimited it increments in blocks of 50 kbyte
Set to cable/dsl fast or slow and try.

its in bits then? i thought it was in bytes...50kilobytes is a pretty big block...but 50kilobits isn't..thanks for the info

The scroller increments in kbyte/sec not kbit/sec
when the drop-down is set to unlimited, it's locked to increments of 50kbyte/sec.
When set to other speed ranges it's locked in different increments.

isn't that a bit big of a increment...most ppl can't even upload at 50kilbytes a sec..i can...but not much mroe..on the version i have it has a box beside the slider..so i set it to a number like 25 or 30...but it won't cap there...and the presets don't seem to work either

ahhh i see now..wehn i use a diff setting the increment size gets lower...
