 Post subject: simultaneous downloads

Hello.

I wanted to know if I do simultaneous downloads of more than one bittorrents, will it impact the download/upload speed of each one of them.

I am downloading the first torrent on port 6881, second on 6882 and third on 6883 and all are showing green lights. I just wanted to know if I do 3 downloads at the same, will each ones speed impact the speeds of the other two? Will one of them download faster, if I cancel the other two?

Each torrent you have active will take bandwidth in both directions away from the others.
Each active torrent takes one TCP port.

This would depend on your Internet connection. If your using cable/DSL like most, your bandwidth is divided between the files being downloaded. If your using some other connection this may not be the case.
