Before you do anything take a hammer and smash that piece of crap mac into tiny little pieces. Then split the file and make several dvd's

Did you or has anyone tried "DVD Shrink"? Does it work? Does it lose a lot of quality? Thanx

Dvd Shrink is great for anyone watching their movie on a television.

If you have a big huge projector though, it will be noticeablly reduced quality.

esossai, there is a great program that will let you convert .avi Divx/Xvid files to DVD. That is VSO DivXtoDVD. It doesn't do much other than convert avi to dvd. But it is a great program and it works fast. And the best thing is that it is free. At least for now, I believe that any later versions of this program will cost you, so get it now while its free. :D

I hope you downloaded a non copyrighted or public domain program, otherwise this would be wrong- so don't_do_it.
However, it is possible to do what your asking, though the process is involved. Doom9.net is a great website dedicated to this and other video questions. They also have many public domain or GPL applications for video conversion tasks.
