That would be a nice shortcut to the homepage :D

Though the concept is sorry to say a little dry i like how you've put some new ideas into the concept of the new skin for vers 1

It'll be nice if there was be a global download and upload rate meters as well the current torrent speeds.

I like the ideas I am seeing here but I have also notice a few users complaining about the GUI submissions being over kill (if you will).

I don't like bulkiness either, however I think that if Shadow is going to GUI this thing there is no need not to put the stats / controls on the thing to be seen / used. I should say that it can be done with taste and kept clean and neat ..... (ex - http://www.smegmonkey.co.uk/BitTornado%20Skin.jpg by:Sturty).

This is just MHO!

PS .... Keep the ideas coming, I may even try my hand at one. ;)

Boy do i hate the longhorn gui...
But enough of what I hate, what I would like to see from a gui is useful information and less clutter.

For example:

The tabs are just wonderful.
But look at that extra information... info hash, pieces, announce url? It means little to the common user.

That's nice. I like it.

Ok, I've redone/added to my design and included the window when not expanded.

K, Added overall progress etc and shuffled a few bit about. It's based on plain old windows so that if anyone is using windowblinds etc it'll be skinned aslwell, much the same as if they change the colour in Desktop>Properties.

Most of the informatin is on the little window purely as I'm not a fan of bulky, and then on the expanded we just have a little bit more info/detail.
