Here's what I came up with. I didn't spend too much time, I don't really like the scrollbars, and I'd put a slider beside every torrent to adjust upload rate. We have a gold version: and a blue: Perhaps not as functional but it looks kinda nice. I made it in flash... If there is any interest I can improve |

i don't like the idea of all those colorful stuff on my desktop why not make de client a deamon and a site that combines all the information from those clients (web based) simplicity of html look at those torrent download sites and you could also check remotely how far your downloads are |

i was thinking what you all can do with such a interface using xml or something for layout stuff easy to create your own layout / skin everyone has his own tastes, you know if you want colors. you can create it sliding bars, or even more insane, use a flash interface just what you like |

i think it's also simple to code someting like that take the client as it is, but create additionaly a api in it to communicate with it. and create someting that it can go in deamon modus then use someting like a cgi application to read all the data from the running clients via those api's everyone can set up a web server, if they can download mention, the client is also possible of running as it was. you only have now a second choice |

i dont think skinned app is very good idea.. it would be much better if it would just be simple and easy to use gui with small memory usage. using lots of resources for useless skins is rather stupid for application like this.. i think zero's gui is most useable. |

i think zero's gui is most useable. agreed and i think gregs sucks because the scroll buttons look gay and so does the pale look, my favourite is something like Jereks or the other plainish ones. bit torrent is a application u check every now and again big giant buttons out of proportion just use resources and look gay. I want a skin that is proportional sized, has a simplistic, neat and clean look, as well as a minimalistic mode for permanate onscreen modes. Not only that one that uses litttle resources. One other thing, the functions of Azureus should be added, this client holds alot of bit torrent users because of its interface and extra things such as 'being able to see what clients other ppl use' and all of its other things which it can do. I don't like Azureus because its java, so therefore i use BitTornado, if BitTornado had some of the other options it might 'steal' some of its fan base, hence there ARE people out there who love an application because it has the most features. |
