It's taken 3 days, and several e-mails to people like my routers manufactering company, my ISP, a couple of sys admins I know...... But FINALLY I have the green light and a half decent download speed.

Sorry if you feel I have wasted your time in reading this, I just wanted to share my happiness with someone.
