PostPosted: Thu May 19, 2005 7:52 pm
I've hit as high as 89/35 and as low as 4/5. I'm on DSL with uPNP enabled on my Belkin Router. Just finished a download at 88/62, It said total speed 682,yet BWMeter said 142.??? Why does bittornado give total download speeds far in excess of total actual transfer rate?

K, i have a simple cable connection (no, not T1). On BearShare, ive reached d/l speeds of 3.2 Mbps. Yes Mega. Ive downloaded full 4mb songs in 27 seconds. Bearshare is like 10x faster than bittorrent. But some how i find myself d/ling off bittorrent...

Megabytes per sec yes. What you posted equals about 409K/sec.

Your 4Mb song downloading in 27 sec equals you getting about 151K/sec.

Math should be your first subject before trying to impress people ;) Your speeds are average if anything. hehe

Canadian Isp, 6.5Mb line gives about 850K/sec max dl on BT and can shoot about 103 to 107K/sec in uploading.

Makes short work of the new movie releases ^^

100 mbit line, almost directly plugged into a backbone

hit about 10 mb/sec download, 8 mb/sec upload last week for some hours
average is about 2 mb/sec download 500 kb/sec upload, but that's usually because of slow seeders/leechers

My highest to date was 3350KBps! Yes that's upload. :) Work!

At home I only get about 60KBps.

Just five mins after uploading Super Windows All-In-One DVD 2005 (SuperWinAIO) to the Pirates. ;)

Second fastest was Star Wars Epsiode 3 which I uploaded to torrent l. ;) About a full 72 hours before people even knew it had already leaked. :)

Well my fatest download was over 20000KBps. For Matrix Revolutions DVD R. Downloaded at work. Saved to network and downloaded @ home via vpn. :D

Well my fastest at home was 936KBps for Half Life 2. Not the fake one either. ;) But my average is around 600KBps since normally not enough seeders.

I topped at 1320 kB/s, at the time there was no upload in that torrent but I had other torrents with a total of about 100 kB/s of traffic. Traffic total: ~1400 kB/s.

That is the only time my speed has been above 1000 but then I "only" have a 10/10 Mbit LAN/fibre connection so it's not supposed to be faster than that...
(One month ago I was still on 56/34 kbit/s modem.)
