PostPosted: Sat Mar 12, 2005 10:59 pm
K, i have a simple cable connection (no, not T1). On BearShare, ive reached d/l speeds of 3.2 Mbps. Yes Mega. Ive downloaded full 4mb songs in 27 seconds. Bearshare is like 10x faster than bittorrent. But some how i find myself d/ling off bittorrent...

The fastest i've ever downloaded was probably a tv rip i downloaded last week. I got up to around 1100kb/sec.

Normal seeding usally ends up at aorund about 900kb/sec for me...

This is with a 10/10Mbit LAN/fiber connection (~30$/month) here in sweden. With regular phone inluced in the price... 8)

Fastest I've downloaded was at 2MB/s and uploaded at about 1.5 MB/S. I've hit that download speed twice. Once on a locally seeded file (so basically http dl) and once on a pretty popular torrent (don't remember which).

Fastest i've get is 120k on my 1mb connection. Fastest i can even get where i live is 2mb or 4mb if i switch to Cable :( Fastest you can get here in the UK at all is only 8mb.

Things are set to change for us this year though. They've been concentrating on coverage and quality rather than speeds, and now they've got that sorted with 99.8% of the country able to get Broadband the megaspeeds are coming :D

4kbps down, 3kbps up. Sigh. 56K dialup, gotta love it. Average rate is closer to 1down/3up. And the present torrent is 2.2Gbs.

I'm not insane, just more patient than most folks.

435kB/s down is the fastest i have come up with, my 8/1mb don't work to well if i upload over 50-60kB/s at the same time... when i came up to 435kB/s downloading naruto i was pleasantly surprised.....

It´s a shame that you can't get what you pay for....but this problem only occurs with bt to my knowledge. haven't tried other p2p yet....downloading through http or ftp goes much faster...
