435kB/s down is the fastest i have come up with, my 8/1mb don't work to well if i upload over 50-60kB/s at the same time... when i came up to 435kB/s downloading naruto i was pleasantly surprised.....

It´s a shame that you can't get what you pay for....but this problem only occurs with bt to my knowledge. haven't tried other p2p yet....downloading through http or ftp goes much faster...

don't know if this counts since I was using source from bitconjurer.org, but I have gotten > 4200 kB/s abusing an academic server at a major university (graduated now, but still don't want them finding me :) ).

Whobajoo,
You're definition of middle of no-where must not match mine. In the area where my parents live (I don't live around there anymore and I have 10 meg connection), you can not get cable internet or DSL no matter how much you are willing to spend. Your only option is 36-40k dialup (yeah, not even 56k).
