Will downloading BitTornado or any torrent files in general infect your computer with spyware? I was just wondering because I am sick of spyware as it has corrupted my computer 3 times and I don't want spyware at any cost. Therefore, I'm not downloading anything on my computer that has spyware. Can you tell me if downloading BitTornado will install spyware alongside? I also heard that torrent files contain viruses and spyware. Is that true? What is a torrent client(s) that don't have ANY spyware or adware? Please help! :?

The BitTornado install does not contain any spyware. However, the filesets that you download using the BitTorrent protocol (with BitTornado) could most definitely contain spyware if they contain executables. You've got to be careful and use common sense.

If you're running XP, install the new MS AntiSpyware to help protect yourself.
