I was curious about those people who opened-up/forwarded ports, how many did you do this for??

I did only twelve 10000-10011 .... will opening more ports give me a more speed, is it realistic that i need more ports open??

I'm downloading a movie right now, its about 750MB, i'm downloading at an average of 70 Kb/s ...i am connected to 50 peers, and 15 seeds.... estimated time approximately 5 hours. ....are these good stats for a movie download on this system?

Only 1 port is used per torrent, so forwarding additional ports only allows you to have more torrents open at the same time.

70KB/sec is 560kbps so that's a very nice speed.

sounds average to me... not sure about forwarding more ports.

Probably unlikely that you'll get significantly more speed. Speed mostly depends on the overall speed of your swarm.

70Kib/s = 70 Kbps, right? just another way of expressing the fact that its Seventy Kibibytes per second.

or 70Kib/s = 71680 Kib/s

or 70Kib/s = 71680 bps

70 kilobytes/sec * 8 bits/byte = 560 kilobits/sec.

kB = kilobytes
kb = kilobits

And kilo in this context means exactly 1000 (not 1024). 1024 is only used for k when you're talking RAM sizes.

So it's 560,000 bits/sec.
