What does Share Rating do?

the share rating is merely a statistical ratio of how much you have download versus how much you have uploaded. So if you have download 3mg and uploaded 3mg you share rating will be 1.00

down 6mg, up 3mg, share rating = 0.50

down 6mg, up 12mg, share rating = 2.00

etc.

obviously it makes sense to try and keep your share rating at or above 1.00, as in the long run this means that u have uploaded the entire size of the torrent at least once. This provides for increased longevity and speed of the torrent.

in short, a higher number is better for everyone ^_^ (including you)
