Post subject:  I'd like to see a better download speed.
My connection is 65/65Mbit, and i'm using windows XP

So i started to download a popular movie; I'm connected to 30 peers and 10 seeds. My upload speed is around 300kbyte/sec but my download remains a crappy <100kbyte.

Is there a problem with my settings(i don't have any restriction on the download rate)? Or is the swarm simply not able to provide me with a similar sized download speed?

And also, since i'm able to upload over 25 times as much as i am now.... why don't the other users take advantage of it? It doesn't affect it even if i put max upload to 2000 and users to 100.

Please help :)

lol, there is :) got a full 100mbit up and down at my server on a 6.8GBit backbone :) it is only your prob u dont have such a connection :)

ANYWAY...if you're downloading a "popular" movie and there are only 30 peers and 10 seeds....it's not so POPULAR is it?

When I download stuff there are 10,000 seeds and 8,000 peers.....now that's popular.

But still....you'd make a distro manager drool with delight.
