I was having problems for quite a while my self. I don't have the same modem/router you have but I went into the settings and forwarded the ports in it for bit torrent to work properly. My modem doesn't have the ability to disable the NAT. I could download before but the best I could get, most of the time, was about 3 to 5kbps down. That was quite frustrating, considering I got dsl for the soul purpose of downloading faster (duh). Ever since I made those changes, I can get upwards to 300kbps down and even sometimes higher, depending on the seeds of the files I download.
I am not sure this helps much but it will maybe guide you the right direction to find the answer to the problem.
