disable your dhcp in your router because dhcp crash in dlink's router when the download get more than 100k often. If you have this problem, disable it, you will not have to restart ur router |

Okay, I've done everything listed, and here's my situation: Sbc Yahoo DSL Speedstream 5100 Modem D-Link DI-624 rev C Firmware 2.50 (just updated) Windows XP Pro SP2 I was getting green light, but my DL speeds were 5-15 K. I set myself up with a static IP Followed up with the pictures at the start of this thread, except my ports are set up as 10000 - 10100. Set up the same with my macafee firewall. I have bittornado set up to use those 100 ports, randomized. (should I switch that?) I have tried all three settings of upnp forwarding, and nothing seems to get me better speeds. To check, I found a very popular torrent and tried that, only to get even slower speeds. Any ideas? airron |

Post subject: | Yellow light always...HEEELLLLPPP!! |
Hi all, this yellow light business has driving me cr**y. Pls help... Here is my situation : I got Dlink DSL-G604T with firmware V1.00B05.AU I have setup port forewarding on port 60000-60001 on my router. and on my BT I uncheck the randomize option and setup port 60000-60001 (Both). but still I got the YELLOW light. I still have my windows Firewall enabled, but I open port 60000-60001 both TCP and UDP. I read that I have to disable window firewall, is that safe enough ? Currently I only have 60000-60001 ports is forewarded on my router and I got NAT enabled. Thanks a lot |

Anonymous wrote:  I have a D-Link DI624 which I have finally figured out how to open the ports on. So I figured I'd share my info with the world:
1) Open the user interface (usually http://192.168.0.1) 2) Click on the Advanced Tab 3) Click on the Firewall button in the left hand column 4) Now we are going to make a new Firewall Rule: a) click on the Enable button which will put a dot in the circle b) In the Name box type Bit Torrent so you know later what this is for c) For Action click on Allow d) Source - Interface = WAN and IP Range = * e) Destination - Interface = LAN; IP Range = either * or your local IP Address (192.168.0.xxx); Protocol = *; and Port Range = 6881-6999 f) Schedule = Always 5) Click Apply[/b] That should do it. Now before I did this the highest download I could get was 80KBps and my light seldom went green. Now I get as much as 240 KBps and my lights go green shortly after starting my torrents. Then This! Worked for me. Thanks to all contributers. for GREEN LIGHT! http://support.dlink.com/faq/view.asp?prod_id=1347 |
