hi,
i use the internet connection at my uni for dl's (postgrad student, i have an office
) its an extremely fast connection (i can get port 80 downloads of upto 2,000KB/s).
anyway, i know all uni's are under constant "hack attacks" 24/7 and therefore they use mucho amounts of firewalling technology.
but. . . what a waste!!
i usually have a share rating of about 6. is there anyway i can get around the yellow light? it seems so unfair to have a backbone connection via the london metropolitican network and not be able to use it!
i'm sure more uni folks would be willing to behave as supernodes if they could get around the firewall.
