Can somebody help.Ive recently formatted my harddrive and had to re-install all my programs.Im now having trouble using Bittorent.
Im using windows xp (the windows firewall is off).
Norton Anti Virus 2002
Zone Alarm with web filtering
Peer Guardian v1.99 pr 14
I used to get good speeds of bittorent but now cant get above 10kb/s and get the yellow light off.But now even if i turn off the firewall and peer guardian i still cant get the yellow lights off.
Ive tried and think i manged to forward the ports but when i tried NatCheck it still came back failed.
If the firewall is turnes off does it matter if the ports are forwarded or not.
Any help would be appreciated.

I dont think Zone Alarm or peer guardian are at fault either as i have un-installed both and tried to d/load a well seeded torrent and am still getting a yellow display.I was wondering if there was anything in the bios or a in the hardware set up to change.Im clutching at straws realy because my internet speed is ok.Anybody with any ideas?.

Usually this means your firewall was set to allow a program, then when you changed the program the firewall software isn't updating its database. (It's designed to prevent such behavior because the changed file might have been corrupted or replaced by a worm or virus.)
