This is really pissing me off...I hate that yellow light.
I know this isn't a problem with port forwarding because I now have opened ALL ports by enabling DMZ. I have disabled XP and Norton firewalls. I have tried this dodgy static IP bullshit and still nothing.
A mate of mine is on the same plan with the same ISP even on the same telephone exchange and he consistently gets speeds appropriate for a 1.5MB/s connection on the same torrents i'm TRYING to download. The only difference between our set-ups is that I am using a Netcomm NB1300+4 (a 4 port router) and he uses a separate modem and hub (Pretty sure the modem is a D-Link DSL 302G and the hub is the same brand, not sure of model).
Could having a separate modem and hub rather than a router really make a difference??
Is NAT used only with routers or does a modem/hub set-up use it just the same?
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do to fix this (short of buying a modem and hub...if that would even help)?
