I just downloaded BitTornado today. I have tried to find and read all the documentation and FAQs to solve my problem, which is its VERY slow downloading speed (1kb/s).

I am running ZoneAlarm (free version) on Win98. I also know that if I share more I get to download more. But the thing is, everytime I "manually announced" myself there were a sudden of uploads that lasted for 1 sec and I couldn't upload anymore, and nobody let me download later. It's not that I don't want to upload, but I don't know how to keep it going.

Is this a problem with the firewall, or is it because I was just beginning at downloading and had little stuff to share with others (I have 224mb of the file already)?

I am willing to do anything to resolve this problem, and thank you in advance for your kind help.
