After the accounment that port 6969 has virus, they change the torrent to 443

E.g. http://tracker.scarywater.net:443/announce

Since then my download is always so slow like 1 to 2 kb but the icon is green in colour. Is there any need to change the port in pref to accomedate the change in tracker's port???
If yes, what port should i enter???

thx.

The ports which you can configure in bittornado are used for inbound connections (listening ports, remote connections). The port in your example is an outbound connection used to communicate with the tracker. There are also outbound connections when bittornado initiates connections to peers (local connections).
If the tracker port changes you don't need to change the ports in bittornado, but if you have some old torrents using the old port you may want to use the external announce feature (advanced field) and enter the new tracker/port url.

Sorry, i don't understand your question.

The tracker is only used to get a list of peers, not to transfer the data you want to download. So if you see other peers in the advanced window everthing is fine with the tracker.

Just redownload the .torrent file. The tracker's port is specified there. You can resume the transfer with the new .torrent.
