Sounds like it includes some sort of firewall, which is blocking BT. Find and disable either the whole firewall, or allow BT access.

I'm having the same problem with my norton firewall. I have no clue what I should do with advanced settings regarding what settings for incoming and sharing files programs I should change. I did play with it before by saying i want this port to be ok but instead it made my whole internet connection fail. I totally have no idea and now am about to give up!! I've been trying to make myself conectable for 3 weeks now but I dunno it seems like such a big hastle. I even tried new BT clients like azures and they worked but after setting the ports it crashed my terent. Now I'm back to burst but once again I'm at square one! IT's this dammmmmmmmmmm firewall, does anyone have a how to for settings of a norton firewall????

Thanks in advance,

Nigelman

I had the same problem with Norton Antivirus 2005. i solved it by adding Bittornado too Norton Antivirus. You can ad it by clicking:

1 OPTION -> MANUAL SCAN -> EXCLUSIONS and then NEW. then select bittorrent.exe.

2 OPTION -> INTERNET WORM PROTECTION -> PROGRAM CONTROL -> ADD -> bittorrent.exe. (Internet acces should been set on permit all)

3 OPTION -> THREAT CATEGORIES -> EXCLUSIONS and then NEW. then select bittorrent.exe.

DONT FORGET TO SELECT OK.

Then ive you havent done it yet, forward youre ports in youre router en give Bittornado acces on windows XP firewall.

DONT FORGET TO SELECT OK.

restart youre computer and it should work now.
