I saw this poster get helped and I hope I can get as lucky. Currently, I have a Belkin (wired) router. I have tried to forward the ports with 6881-6999. That did not work, so I saw a forum say try another port like 10000-10004. I also tried that and it didnt work. For both of those I changed it it the BitTornado's settings also btw. (didnt work still)
Next, I took off the firewall(windows XP) and also the one through the setup page. That also did not work.
I also saw a forum about spyware keeping the yellow light on and I did spybot to clean it up. (only had a few and they got removed.) That also did not work.
Lastly, I messed around with the UpNP settings and it didnt work.
(I ALSO TRIED ALL OF THIS WITH DIFFERENT COMBINATIONS)
In conclusion, I need somone to give me more options to get rid of this dreaded yellow light, which i hate. So please, in any way help me. Thanks for reading all of this. My aim is ChrisWBlaylock if you want to guide me through it or w.e.

Did you open the ports in the windows firewall? Even if you turn off the firewall the ports are sometimes left closed

what antivirus software do you have, some antivirus' have internet settings of their own, so you may need to disable it or forward ports etc.

try to cut out as many variables as you can, this will help you figure out the problem. so unplug your router and turn off all firewalls and such that might hamper your internet connection. then goto http://torrenthelp.depthstrike.com/randomport.php , this will give you a random port that will suit you. then use that port through bittornado. this should work. if not, download this torrent http://bittornado.com/connection-checker-6969.torrent , you WILL get an error message which will be informative to you.

hope this helps
