Thanks to all for the wealth of information, I've been browsing for a couple weeks, trying to sort my recent yellow light problem, and I've learned lots of useful stuff. Unfortunately I'm still sporadically running a yellow light. I think I've narrowed it down to some application I have which is blocking http, but I can't find what. I'm running XP (firewall off), Sygate firewall, AVG free, PeerGuardian. No router. Ports are forwarded through sygate, peerguardian is set to allow http. I use some http sites and they're fine - spamarrest for instance - but I'm noticing I get a green when it's a www tracker, and yellow with very variable speeds when it's an http. I had green all the time until I installed Norton on a whim. I've since uninstalled and gone back to AVG. Any ideas?
