Hey I was just about to post the same thing! :(

I have a DSL-500 too and even with the firewall aparently disabled, BitTornado runs really slow and has never displayed a green light. The best transfer rate I ever get on 512K ADSL is 10 K/s if I am very lucky.

I have a dynamic IP from my ISP and 192.168.0.x DHCP on the LAN. I am not using NAT or port redirection but have my firewall configured with two rules only + allow all other connections.

Can I attach a screenshot somehow?

If not, it sez:

Pass or Block=Pass
Direction=In
Protocol=TCP (the other rule is the same but for UDP)
Source IP address=0.0.0.0 Subnet mask=0.0.0.0
Destination IP address=0.0.0.0 Subnet mask=0.0.0.0
Source > start port 0
Destination=start port 6881 end port 6999
Filter rule state=enabled

There's no documentation I could find for this router, anyone got one and got it to work?? I am especially unsure about the IP address stuff

Thanks Juice

OK so I've got a theory now (can't test it at the moment)

If the firewall is disabled, create "port redirection" rules for each BT port (6881, 6882 etc) that connect to the same port on the name of the internal host (unless you are using static addresses on the LAN)

That might work, if your ISP isn't screwing stuff up for you...

I also opened up port 6969 and now it works! 8)

Cheers Juice
