OK, how are you connected to the internet? DSL modem, Cable modem? What is your router type. What version of windows are you using? What bittorrent client are you using? We need info. If I had the coding know how, I'd write a kind of "Hijack This!" log for torrents. But I digress... a bit more info would help.

Unless this was a sarcastic post.

DSL/Cable Modem Name:
Router Name:
Version of Windows (including Service Pack Number):
Bittorrent Version:
Software Firewall/Antivirus Program:

You should hit up bittorrent.com and update your version, first of all.

do not turn off your firewall, u ll regret it in some time

learn how to forward ports in firewalls and routers. search this forum, u ll find some tutorials how to do it.
bittornado uses TCP ports (i have forwarded only 1 port, coz i download/seed only one torrent at time).

basically u need to forward TCP ports in:
1)Windows internal firewall (if u are using it)
2)Your primary firewall (Kerio, Sygate or ZA, etc)
3)router (if u have one)
4)u must select forwarded ports in "Bittornado>Prefs" and uncheck "randomize"

forward 1-5 TCP ports (1 if u want to download/seed 1 torrent, 2 if u want to download/seed 2 torrents, etc)

choose randomly from between 1060-65535
