Just set up a network in house with 7 computers and we are using etec pt-3810 as adsl modem and Linksys befsr81 to split connection. Problem is were all getting yellow light even though both firewalls on them are turned off. Port forwarding has been set up but still wont work. Even when all software firewalls are off the same happens. were using bulldog broadband 8 meg connection. Cud ya help plz thx... |

Any chance the "etec pt-3810" model adsl modem has its own built-in router capabilities that needs special port-forwarding? Have you tried various ip port ranges and changing LAN ips for the computers as well? Are the computers on fixed ip addresses instead of letting windows assign ips to them? Are there a mixture of fixed ip computers and random ip computers on the LAN? |
