| Post subject: | firewalls off and still yellow light |
im usin a befsr41 v2 router and i forwarded all my ports and il still getting a yellow light. how can i check if i still ahve firewalls on? i turned off the xp fire wall and i turned off avg(free) and antivir. btw im using windows xp |

There are websites that can do connect backs to determine if your computers are firewalled. ShieldsUP! at grc.com can test specific ip ports to see if your computer can accept them or not...or if they're being blocked by something between it and you. Do a specific port test there for whatever ip ports your BitTornado is set to (and presumeably your router is forwarding). If you get back a closed or stealth reply, chances are you're firewalled on that ip port and need to do some more configuring of your computer/s and router and possibly your cablemodem/ADSL modem as well! |
