| Post subject: | firewall settings not being saved |
on my dlink router, settings are not being saved after ive port forwarded 6881-6889.. i type in all the things in the Firewall page and save. a new page that says Settings Saved pops up and i click ok. a new entry is shown named "BitTorrent". now i refresh and the entry is gone. im clueless, what should i do? |

My best friend also has a D-Link router, though I haven't messed with it in months...and then only briefly. Anyway, maybe if you don't put in every last detail for the forwarding information in the router, it won't save. So if you forget to put in the local LAN ip address your computer is on, the setting is discarded when you hit save. Btw, naming the port-forwarding entry "BitTorrent" (or anything for that matter) isn't as important as getting the numbers correct. |
