Post subject:  it was green. now its yellow :(

at first i was having yellow light problems, but i corrected that easily with simple port forwarding. and its been green light ever since.

one day, i was downloading some animes and the lights turned yellow during the download. i checked my router settings, checked for spyware, checked BT settings, and everything was normal. i checked the number of seeders and leechers, and they were both above 100 users.

and i tried downloading other things like movies, and all of my downloads are yellow.

i tried restarting everything (the program, computer, etc) yet no luck. whats the problem? what can i do to fix this?

Is your computer set to "automatically assign an ip address" under network settings? If so, it could be that it just hadn't changed till now and all of a sudden the fixed ip port-forwarding values on your router are aimed at the wrong ip.

but it hasnt changed the ip adress. its still 192.168.0.102 and my router is directing to 192.168.0.100 to 192.168.0.102

What do you mean your router is directing "to"?

Your router should be port-forwarding ports somewhere inside the 0-65535 number range TO 192.168.0.102, not ip (192.168.0.100) to ip (192.168.0.100).

Combining an ip address with a port would be like this:

192.168.0.102:6888

That's ip number 192.168.0.102 and port number 6888.

the ip of my computer within the LAN is 192.168.0.102, it hasnt changed.

my router is port forwarding to 192.168.0.100, 101, and 102. ports 6880 to 6999

nothing has changed even when my network settings are set to auto detect.

It could be a port-forwarding bug of your router, combined with trying to forward each packet multiple places. If you forwarded real mail, you could only send it to 1 place -- you couldn't send it to 3 places at once.

So your router should only forward the ip ports 6880-6999 to the 1 LAN ip address (that of your computer): 192.168.0.102.

Try that.

I failed to ask if you are using a wireless router -- even if your computer is wired directly to it. It could be another computer (maybe a neighbor's?) has connected to your network remotely and that is what's causing your problems now.
