I know very little about computers but have heard good stuff about bit torrent, So i have downloaded it, installed it and tried to download an episode of the OC..... all I can get is a yellow light and a 0 share rating and a download rate of 0.1. I have disabled my firewall on my router as directed but now I am stuck.
I have looked at all the forum posts but understand nothing.... im a Homer hen it comes to computers. Can someone possibly in laymans terms and step by step possibly help out!!!!

How long did you leave the download window open when you were experiencing a slow download? Downloads sometimes tend to start off slowly then get a kick in speed. I've seen some downloads take half an hour going at 1 to 3k/s before they finally kicked into gear and got faster.

Also, how many peers/seeds were you connected to? Do you have a router that your computer is connected to and if so what is the brand and model of it?

thanx for trying to help but Iv given up now:) just going to stick to using Kazaa. Bittorrnado kept crashing my PC. Im just going to be patient... unless you know anyways to improve the speed of the downloads on Kazaa?
