just tested my connection at http://btfaq.com/natcheck.pl and I get the following result! Fail! The connection was successful but a timeout occured reading or writing the BitTorrent client data. Must be a setting somewhere but I have opened ports on my router, allowed uPnP, opened everything in Norton Firewall (including running with it disabled) killed XP firewall. I am connected directly not through a proxy. Any help much appreciated Roger |

If you're on Rogers ISP in Canada...that's the problem right there! There are other ISPs that intentionally cause similar problems: Shaw (also Canada), InsightBB (USA), SingTel (Singapore), and many of the ISPs in Australia, New Zealand, and Japan. |

Try disabling UPnP and using standard port-forwarding. |
