Hello, I'm on a college campus lan so I should be downloading pretty quick, and my roommate uses bittornado as well and he gets dl speeds of up to 100kbps, but I'm stuck with 0-1kbps. Can someone help? I messed with the XP firewall settings and added in the ports bittornado uses but it doesn't help any. Any ideas on what I should do? All responses would be appreciated!

university has got a firewall and my light stays yellow all the time

under "advanced" i got all "L"'s and no R's under local/remote. is this a problem?

got a T1 connection and only when there are like a thousand people connected do i manage to reach speeds above 50kbps.

is there a way to fix this or am i doomed for LIFE??
