i went to http://www.grc.com/ and looked up a bunch of ports on my action tec router, i opened port 6999 and set that in bit tornado and stil nothing happened. I looked up port 6999 on grc and it said it was not usable, so there must be another file wall running somewhere. i tried going to the security center and it said it was corrupted go to start->run-msconfig go to the services tab, and make sure that all microsoft services are checked. i broke my security center by disabling a few services and inturn it messed up the firewall. after i fixed my security center, i turned off the virus protection and firewall. everything works fine now, i get 40+ peers |

even if you have windows firewall disabled, try enabling all of the microsoft services. i think some of them are needed for the internet. |
