This is an issue someone asked me to post on the forums. Basically, all I wanted to cover was the fact that although many topics are covered on this forum, the problem I had was not. My anti-virus (Kaspersky) had the feature 'protect against network attacks' on, with the extra feature of 'stealth mode' enabled. Not only did this feature stop any file or print sharing on the LAN from working, but it also acted as a basic firewall that gave a yellow light - something which I had completely not considered before! -Btw Leo the program doesnt have issues with this feature off correct? Then turn it off, the feature is not worth leaving it on... basically its protecting you from people on your own home network. So there isnt a point to keeping it on. |
