Arg. I can't get rid of the yellow light....

So frustrated...I've tried everything. I've tried disabling my XP firewall and opening the ports (and port trigger) on the TrueMobile 2300.

I've updated to the latest flash version too.

Any ideas? Please?

Thanks

First go to http://btfaq.com/natcheck.pl and check if the IP shown there is the same as your WAN IP, you should find the WAN or Internet IP on some status page of the router. If it's not the same you might be behind a proxy.
Otherwise check your router settings. What did you configure on the "Port Forwarding" page? Be sure to set the right IP and MAC address, also add this IP and MAC to the "IP Address Reservation" settings.

Code:
Attempting connect to: 141.156.133.61 port 6881
Fail!
Unable to connect. This likely means you need to adjust your port forwarding configuration, or there is no client running on that port.

I can't seem to find that IP address anywhere in my router configuration.

On the Port Forward page, I forwarded ports 6881-6999 to this machine (192.168.2.2 and correct MAC address) and I also tried using port triggering.

Hmm :-\

The IP should be listed on the "Device Status" page below "WAN-MAC:" (left side).
You can also do a proxy test here: http://all-nettools.com/.

Phew.

I figured it out...after a few panic attacks. I had the Truemobile 2300 set to "Static IP". I changed it to PPPoE and filled in my Verizon username and pass.

Now I'm green!

Hopefully the speed will increase.

Hmm, it's green, and it passes NatCheck, but the speeds are still the same, if not worse.

Ideas?

  • Limit your upload rate to about 80% of your max upload capabilities.
  • It takes some time to connect to other peers.
  • Test a torrent with many seeders and a filesize <100MB.
