Hi I am new to BitTorrent and everything. I have read through this forum to see if I could find a solution to my problem. I am running Bit Tornado on Windows 98 and have a Linksys Network Everywhere Router model # nr041. I have attempted to download several things and always get a yellow light and it says that my IP address is firewalled. I have cable modem service through COMCAST so maybe that has something to do with my problem. I have gone to the router site and set up BitTorrent to have ports 6881-6883 open for my IP address. However, on Bit Tornado the ip address that says it's firewalled is different from the one that I get when i type winipcfg at a command prompt. My download speeds aren't terribly slow all the time, but if I can obtain higher speeds that would be great. Please let me know if I have given enough info . Any help or feedback is greatly appreciated!
