if you guys who make the software are such legends why cant you come up with a bit torrent sofetware that goes through firewalls. i mean surely it cant be that hard...and it seems to me the only problem people are having with this software is firewalls.

and how do you propose that to be done? Typically firewalls only let traffic in that is related to traffic *initiated* by someone *behind* the firewall outwards to a host on the internet. Setups like that are just fine for people who only connect outwards to other machines on the internet that already have their appropriate ports open and forwarded for the service the user behind the firewall wishes to access such as a web server with port 80 wide open or an ftp server with port 21 wide open, but when it comes to contacting another peer who is behind a similar firewall that also denies any external connection attempts and any external traffic not considered to be related to traffic initiated by a person behind the firewall, the two peers can't connect to each other at all and you lose each other as a possible source for the file's data.
