Post subject:  Yellow Light, but Still Uploading?

There's one thing about this whole firewalled/yellow light deal that has always confused me.

I'm on a university network, and 99 % of the time I have a yellow light. (I have seen it turn green before, although I have no idea why; I didn't change my Zonealarm [free version] settings at all at the time.) And yet, I still end up uploading plenty of data - I've gone right up to 40 kB/s before.

Doesn't this mean that I can accept incoming connections from others? If so, why doesn't the light turn green?

If the light is yellow, that means YOU can initiate connections

But others cannot initiate connections to YOU. So, instead of connecting to 60 peers, you may end up being connected to only 20-30, because a Firewalled Client cannot talk to another Firewalled client.

 My apologies.

I guess there's nothing more I can do if the unversity network is beyond my control. (Still, it's a little odd that I have seen green lights once or twice.)
