Ok, I am ok with computers and such but I am very unfamiliar with all the internet settings and ports, ips, blah blah blah. I have the yellow light problem like most people do and I was wondering how to open the listed ports in the torrent client. I don't want to end up screwing up my net either. I have been getting up to 400 kb/s download riate with yellow light. (I have 11 mbps DSL). Can anyone get me started?

Go to http://www.portforward.com/routers.htm and look for your router's name. Follow the instruction for port forwarding, not port triggering, and use the ports you configured in bittornado (e.g. 6881-6999). If you need to assign a static IP and you don't have a staic WAN IP from your ISP, it's better to use the router IP as DNS Server address.
