i have downloaded a movie and when i tried to play it with media player i get the following message: the selected file has an extension which is not recognized by the media player. i also tried tp play it with other programs but also not possible.

could someone please help.

I am guessing its Dvix or Xvid extension. FFdshow is a codec pack i have no problems with. heres a link download and install and see if it works.
