 Post subject: Max Speed
PostPosted: Mon Aug 02, 2004 5:37 am
I currently have an NTL 1MB Cable connection,
my comp specs are: athlon 2600+ with 1gb of ram
one thing that really  pisses me off is that it says the max speed is something around 409-800kb but i only get 8/9kb downloads! that sucks bigtime, ive got UPnP port forwarding on type1(fast) but it makes no difference, ive tried downloading from several trackers but get the same speed! :x

What else do i have to do to achieve the maximum speed or atleast 40/50kb's??

thanks in advance

I also have the NTL 1MB connection

I find that if u set the speed to dsl/cable slow and increase the the up rate from 13kbps to 20kbps, i find that it will download faster because ur not chocking the connection on the upload

Remote connections means you have full excess to other people who arent firewalled either or have ports fowarded.

Local are those when either you or them are firewalled.
