I have Tornado in XP and I was thinking that it might start the sameway, client opens, asks you to pick a torrent in a directory, you pick it, then asks, where you want to download it to, and then bingo Tornado is connecting to the tracker and downloading. This is after you have downloaded torrents and placed them in the box, I don't use browsers to start the clients. Well in this client which seems to be the same as Tornado, http://ei.kefro.st/projects/btclient/ I just run --> btdownloadgui.py and a window opens up just like the process I explained how it will work in Windows after you have downloaded torrents, again I don't mean thru a browser starting, but downloading them first, then starting Tornado. Will Tornado startup the same way as in Windows if you click on the icon, ask for a torrent, where to download it to, and start running ? If so I can't seem to figure how to get it going ? If I type at a terminal --> btdownloadgui.py this is what I get back; xgates@hawaii:~$ btdownloadgui.py : No such file or directory |

Ahhh I have it all the python scripts that are in /usr/bin for Slackware at least when I make Tornado into a slackpack have all the wrong /paths at the top of the scripts: #!/usr/bin/env python They're suppose to be ---> #!/usr/bin/python Well at least when dealing with source, /usr/bin is the correct path for python so I'm not sure where this env is coming from ? Ok we're cool I can now type 'btdownloadgui.py' in a term and getting it to run this way Have a look at the screen shot http://www.slackcare.com/tornado.jpg Now need to figure out if the Color balls, circles that show the tracker stats work in Linux |

Ok I've got the Color balls for the stats working, here she is in all her glory: http://www.slackcare.com/images/bittornado.jpg Now one last thing, if I click on the links written into the client like in the 'About' section -- 'Donate to Bram' or any of them it wants to open up with Galeon, how can this be switched to choose any browser you want to use ? |
