1. As soon as you start the download, click "Pause" (It may not be necessary, I'm not sure) 2. Click on "Details" 3. Right-click on the file/files you don't want and choose "download never" Happy torrenting! /Christina |

Hello. I want to download certain files from a torrent too. I clicked pause, then details, then I right-clicked on the files that I didn't want to download but there was no options to choose, nothing appeared I use BitTorrent S-5.8.3 (SHADOW's experimental). I hope you can help me. Thanks in advance!!! |

You need a newer version of Shadow's BT client (now called BitTornado). You can find it at www.bittornado.com |

i tried to dl only some of the batch download, however Bittornado keeps on searching for the files that I don't want to download. "IO error: unable to open "the file I DON'T want to download" The whole torrent stops working. How do I keep this from happening? |

This "feature" appears to have issues due to the way filespace is allocated, as several other threads reporting problems with it show. 0.3.17 has the same problem. Apparently a possible patch has been posted in this thread: Forum=Major Problems, Thread=IO Error using pre-allocate and priority list but I have no idea how to add that patch to the program. (too bad I can't just link to the thread so you don't have to dig thru the forum for it, but links are apparently not allowed in posts) |
