Please help me understand the interface of the program... I am trying to set a download/upload ratio so that I give away as much (or slightly less) as I download. I can see settings for my apparent internet connection, which limit the upload speed, but nothing about the download speed. Is there a way to set a ratio like this?

no there is no setting for download speed... however u can play around with the each setting for every 30 secs to see which one is better for ur ratio

Actually there is. You can set your download speed in the bottom right of the Advanced window.
