Hi all,
I have installed BitTornado. I configured my router and my telephone adapter (I use Vonage) so that ports 6881-6889 are mapped to the PC that is actually receiving the files.
I then configured BitTornado port range to be 6881-6889
I have a green circle so I guess that is fine.
My question is, what is my exposure here? In a link from the FAQ, it says that there is minimal exposure except for DoS (Denial of Service?) exploits. Does this mean that BitTornado is listening at these ports and so will prevent any untoward intrusions?
Also, how do others who upload from my PC know to go to ports 6881-6889? HTTP requests go by default to 80 and FTP to 21 and so forth but there isn't a default for BitTornado, is there?
Thanks
