-first off, if you're new to BT in the first place, read the FAQ links on the main page. That'll answer alot of questions.

-search search search! Thats the golden rule on forums. It'll save you time, and flaming.

-ask a friend who uses BT. That's the easiest way.

If you have a specific question that's unanswered, ask away.

If you still can't figure it out how to use BT after all that, maybe you should stick to other p2p apps out there.

Download. Run the executable and install. find a site that lists .torrent files. click the link to the file, and the BT app you're using automatically launches and presents you with an easy to understand GUI.

I had the same problems when I was a newbie. In my case when I would click on the torrent it wouldn't start up the bittornado client so here's what I did to fix it.

1. Find the bittornado executable its called btdownloadgui.exe
2. Creat a shortcut to the executable on your desktop
3. Find the .torrent file that you want to download, i.e filename.torrent.
4. If left clicking doesn't bring up the save as dialog box
try right clicking and choose save as.
5. once u have saved the .torrent file drag it onto the shortcut
that you created on your desktop.
6. That will bring up the Browse for Folder dialog box
asking you where u want to save it.
7. click ok and you will be on your way.

Hope this help ;)

Hmm guess the shortcut thingie works but isn't usually necessary because, once the program is installed, the .torrent files will be associated to it so you only have to double-click it and there you go.

cheers
