| Post subject: | linux font problem |
after an upgrade to my debian testing x environment bittornado is showing squares instead of charactors. i am also getting locale errors though this seems to be a seperate issue. all works over an X connection so i am guessing it is an x font problem. could someone point me toward the font that is missing or damaged that would cause this. thankyou |

the problem is with the default font for gtk1.2 xmms had the same problem but i changed the font and all is good on that front I have added a .gtkrc with a default font but no dice. The font in question still works at size 12 so I have aleviated the problem by setting the font size to 12 but some text does not chnge to size 12 eg. the menu. |
