Partly due to BT I became interested in python, and use it (generally console apps) for stuff both at home and work. I have downloaded the latest BitTornado source and have it (btdownloadgui.py) propperly working by launching BT from explorer and get it working with a torrent so I know that BT must be working correctly with python & wxpython.

My question is how to pursuade firefox to launch BT correctly on its own? I tried following the procedure I used on linux (just 'associate' torrent files with btdownloadgui.py) but no joy. This is presumeably down to having the file tagged as exectuable and the #! on the first line of the file. Is using something like py2exe the only way to get BT working propperly through a browser under windows?

Thanks
Eldi
