Traditionally, the bittorrent port-range is 6881-6889, but there's strong indications that ISP's are blocking these, so going random seems like a good idea - i'm gonna try it myself, just as soon as this torrent finishes downloading... :wink:

...All you need to make sure of is that whatever range you choose (5 digits is advisable), you forward the same ports if you have a NAT-enabled modem/router (see http://www.portforward.com if you don't know what that is).

Pick a range of ports starting above 10000 and you should be fine. I use 50000+ and never had a problem.
