...a short time. Does it help to make download speed grow,
or it is just me ? I do it sometimes and yes it appears as
my client [experimental] sees more peers and seeders.
What is your opinion about it ? Maybe in this case there should be
automatic function that hits 'manual announce' sometimes for us ?

And another thing, i would like to see in further version of
this nice client a queue ! just a simple list of torrent files that
would wait for their order to start download. I think it could
allow users to leave bit torrent client on its self for a long time
eg: a month.
Thanks ! Cheers ! Best download speeds ! 8)

Other clients like Azureus and XBT Client already support queueing.

Hopefully Shadow And Erm.. The people who work on ABC will get together and combine the clients.

ABC works off the Shadow/Bittornado Core and has a whole host of features added on.

I hear they have Friendly Relations.

better off keeping it secret. wouldn't work as well if everyone was doing it automatically on the same torrent. right? ;)

Yes, the client automatically announces periodically. Manual Announce is good for if you, for instance, just restored your connection and don't want to wait for the machine to automatically reconnect.

And feel free to hit it like an elevator button, the code automatically limits how much it's actually called, since it does put a load on the tracker. :-)

some trackers are set that they only rtrn a certain number of peers on each query, so it can sometimes give you that boost in connections up to a point. just don't sit there and button mash because most clients ignore multiple requests in a short period of time, for the purpose of keeping you off the tracker owner's 'ppl to kick in the ass' list.
